More Drusilla fashion for our lady in blue…
I’m sick. I hate being sick, its never any fun. I got pneumonia. You’d think with time off from the muggle job I would be able to get some writing done.
Nay nay.
Most of the time I have been trying to get the paperwork correct for my extended leave of absence, getting my meds squared away and actually resting. My living space is about 500 square feet and I can’t leave the house often? Can we say Cabin Fever?
It is because of this that I turn once more to my dear friend Netflix (as I have no cable) and have been trying out new shows. I have become addicted to Doctor Who (Ninth doctor rules!) and really enjoying Sherlock. After much grousing my husband got me watching Game of Thrones (apparently all the cool kids watch it).
I’m getting things ready for Camp Nano (my region is doing something a little different from what the OLL normally do for June) and I’m trying to work out what I will be writing for Camp. I have also been expanding my tumblrs. Most notably my standard writing one and I have been filling it with Doctor Who stuff. I just finished my shirt project (which as Who inspired) and posted the how to there. I stole away to Michael’s for a couple of hours. I came back having coughing fit after coughing fit but it felt nice to escape if albeit briefly.
I know I should be reworking book one of the Singer Series, but my attention is being pulled back towards Fog and I think that we are very close to getting that completed. Singer will be done soon too. Time and space have been good. Though I reread Fog and am disappointing in my story telling ability. While I know I can make it better, I am also finding the process a little too daunting too. Maybe I’ll wait till I’m recovered.
Also during my “rest” I am expected to get together the paperwork for possibly buying a house and corralling the people involved to get that taken care of. Also daunting. Most days I don’t want to get out of bed.
So I am doing better. Antibiotics, steroids, pain killers, cough suppressants, sleeping pills and a host of other delights have been helping my recovery. The side effects are murder however. I was in the car to go to Micheal’s all of twenty minutes (that’s 10 there and 10 back) and I got a sunburn. Bah. I can’t wait to be healthy again.
Today is Drusilla Laveaux’s (from The Singer Series) birthday!
